Gerry Wright OMFB

Located along the new Edmonton West Valley Line LRT corridor, the Gerry Wright Operations, Maintenance and Facility Building (OMFB) will support the system by combining maintenance, storage, and administrative functions in one facility. The building includes solar panels and features a mix of durable exterior materials, including veneer masonry, insulated metal panels, aluminum composite panels, translucent panels, and curtainwall glazing. The site is tightly constrained, bordered by pipeline rights-of-way on two sides, requiring careful coordination during design and construction. The completed facility will provide a functional and efficient base for LRT operations and long-term maintenance.
