The Haskayne Legacy Park Building is located in the Calgary’s northwest section, neighbouring the community of Bearspaw, positioned in the County of Rockyview.
This Park Pavilion is comprised of an outdoor/indoor multi-purpose facility with an occupancy of around 50 people. Some unique architectural features are the weathered steel, the wood deck ceiling, along with open glazing, exposed concrete, and a paving stone walkway. This Pavillion also includes washrooms, a decorative fireplace, storage, and a small office space covering approximately 2,420 sq.ft., with a total site square footage of 68,864 sq.ft.
The project incorporated sustainable building initiatives, including a net zero target, along with a geothermal heating system.
