Dawson Wallace completed a significant interior renovation program within the Lethbridge College Bakery. The scope of work consisted of renovation two existing, mostly demolished classrooms into a fully functioning baking laboratory classroom for teaching. The construction process involved demolishing existing mechanical and electrical systems, as well as concrete masonry walls throughout the space and installing new mechanical underslab to allow for new floor drains for the space and the equipment inside it. Additionally, an operable wall system was installed in the space to allow for the separation of the room and to have the ability to cool one side of the room down to a low temperature to teach classes using chocolate. All of the above work took place during the summer months, and was completed simultaneously as two other projects in the same wing of the college space were being delivered.
