Located in Kananaskis, the Tim Hortons Kids Camp project included the renovation of the main lodge and kitchen area, new construction of bunk houses and the relocation of old bunk houses, as well as the installation of a new sanitary septic system and a water treatment plant. Due to the facility’s summer camp season, the work was completed under a phased schedule to minimize disruption to camp operations.
Phase 1 included the completion of the septic field, water treatment plant, and the relocation of the existing bunk houses.
Phase 2 included the construction of the new bunk houses. This project presented unique challenges such as accessing the site which is located out of town in the mountains, and building throughout winter in order to expedite completion while accommodating the camp’s programming needs.
