The Grasslands Logistic Centre is located in the Great Plains Industrial Park in southeast Calgary. The 214,000 sq.ft. multi-tenant distribution centre consists of insulated metal panels as well as precast “dado” panels around the perimeter of the facility.
Dawson Wallace was hired as the General Contractor, as well as Design-Builder for the mechanical and electrical systems. The project was a “greenfield” site that was transformed into this distribution facility over a May to October timeframe.
The project implemented numerous sustainable building practices such as LED lighting, higher insulated roof system as well as energy modeling to ensure it is environmentally friendly.
