This expansion and modernization program provided additional capacity to the existing bus storage facility for Lethbridge Transit and School Board buses, and also doubled the existing office area and completely rejuvenated the space.
A new bus wash and 7 new hoists were added for increased maintenance capabilities. The mechanical systems were also completely overhauled, with new make-up air units, air scrubbers and new direct exhaust systems put in place. The sprinkler and fire alarm systems were also enhanced. New high speed overhead doors were installed in place of the existing doors, and a new lubrication distribution system was also installed.
The existing facility was entirely repainted and had new lighting was installed throughout.
