Dawson Wallace was recently awarded the contract to complete the reconstruction of the Parkcrest Elementary School. The newly built school will be approximately 48,050 s.f. across one storey and will provide capacity for 510 students ranging from Kindergarten to Grade 6. The school will house classrooms, a large gymnasium, dedicated kindergarten space, sensory areas, a collaboration space, a learning commons, childcare space, multi-purpose rooms, and administrative support offices. Sustainable features will include significantly reduced greenhouse gas emissions and the District’s first ground source heating/cooling geothermal system.
